I began teaching when I was sixteen years old and have been passionate about sharing my love of music ever since.
My musical education began when I was nine years old and I have continued my study of classical piano through to a tertiary level at both Melbourne and Monash Universities. I am interested in a wide variety of styles of music and enjoy incorporating all of these in my lessons.
Currently I divide my time between private studios in Thornbury and Healesville, while also teaching within the instrumental music programs of a number of primary schools.
I teach a wide range of ages and abilities, from four year olds to retirees, absolute beginners to those preparing for AMEB and university entrance exams. I also encourage and arrange regular performance opportunities for my students.
I believe that everyone learns differently, so I take a flexible and sensitive approach to my lessons, with an emphasis on the enjoyment of playing and exploring music.
